Corrections
Material errors are corrected clearly, promptly, and with a visible record.
How corrections work
The editor records what was wrong, what replaced it, when the change was made, and who approved it. Silent fixes are limited to inconsequential spelling or formatting changes.
Developing coverage
New information is added as an update when the earlier report was accurate at publication. A correction is used when the earlier report itself was wrong.
Request a review
Provide the article URL, the disputed statement, and primary evidence. The newsroom reviews requests on their merits and records the outcome.
